Wool Jewel Schematics

Sketches from the sweater designer

for both sweater designs illustrated below

In 2019 I was honored to create schematic drawings for a popular knitting pattern designer, who goes by the handle @WoolJewel on Instagram, Youtube, and the popular knitting website Ravelry. Knitters use these images embedded in the pattern layout to understand the exact measurements of the finished garment they will produce, helping them to choose a size and make alterations based on their own body’s measurements. As a former professional costume designer and fellow knitter, this was a project whose market I was intimately familiar with and uniquely qualified for. I produced the finished drawings below with both a knitter’s and an artist’s eye.
